Back from seeing the Dropkick Murphys, with the Disasters and the Casualties :D .. Awesome.

Finally the combination of free time and free motivation gives me the opportunity to update this silly, outdated thing.

Classes are going well; we are knee deep into the quarter, and I'm enjoying all of my classes. The new building is treating us very well; it's starting to take on a bit of a personality, which makes it feel much less like a giant warehouse and much more like a design studio.

Today was crisp and it's starting to feel a bit like fall; although still in the high seventies, the world feels smooth and collected, and I'm starting to enjoy the daylight going away early and the quiet, docile feel of night. I think Blue senses it too; he likes having the windows open, and seems to prefer the cooler weather.

A week till the dropkick murphys show; that should be absolutely phenomenal. And a bit more than a week till the quarter is over, marking my one year anniversary here at the school. We passed our one year Savannah marker without any sort of celebration; hard to believe I was applying to grad school two years ago. J and I did reflect on how much nicer a city this is than Austin. People wonder how we can prefer the slow, nothing-going-on south to the "west" (is Texas really less South than Georgia?), and I'm not sure I have an answer, but it really is a different animal.

So tonight is homemade pizza and Carnivale, and tomorrow is another week.
