Why did I wake up at five this morning?

Regardless, the early morning is good for reading about information architecture. An old letter, but still a riot; poor, poor Jakob.

And for those of you playing along at home, Savannah Underground is now proudly listed in Google. Unfortunately, you have to be clever enough to search for "Savannah Underground"; it doesn't seem to care about meta tags. Google is a mystery to me.

My cold is gone ;) Yay.

So I've been trying to get Savannah Underground listed in google for a while, and I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I've submitted it, linked to it, gotten crawled a number of times, and their engine just doesn't seem to like me. Instead, it likes to hype Savannah Musician, which is the sorriest excuse for a web presence I've ever seen.

Oh well, what can you do.

A little shin-dig party tonight, and I'm sure we will have some pretty photos for you; in the meantime, how about some bread?

Ehm, I dunno where a week went, but I've been kind of slacking on adding stuff here .. I guess its cause a lot of other things got in the way:

• the silly contract site went live (warned - it looks ill - proceed with cauuuution)



• my daddy's site went live



• Our couch arrived



• Our roof leaked

Hmm. It frosted last night, too :)

I will try to be much more diligent about writing here; I know the eight people who read this regularly are deeply offended at my lack of new and witty remarks.

In the meantime, go here. He's the most prophetic interaction design dork I've ever had the pleasure of reading, and his work is wonderful.

A fun weekend :) J read some poetry at an Open Mic Night at her work, and she did real well; then, we went out to the Velvet Lounge to see Mary Prankster, and I had delicious Vinnies Pizza ... mmmm. Now it's just chill, drinking coffee, a giant orange furball on my lap, and working on my Interactive Product Design class.

And waiting for our new couch to come on Wednesday.

j & i went to the ocean yesterday :)

So when the movers moved our stuff, among other things, they broke an $100 lamp from IKEA. We filed a claim, and they finally got around to sending us a letter. The letter says that they found the lamp for cheaper online, so they will be happy to reimburse us for $40. It's either a big scam, or our Allied rep is a clueless idiot. Either way, I was in hysterics when I saw what she wants to replace our lamp with.
